Dear Sir/Madam:

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our strongest concern over the deportation of four Iranian student dissidents from Turkey back to Iran within the next 24 hours.
These students were jailed and tortured in Iran because of their political activism. They were able to escape from Iran and entered Turkey without sufficient documents to save their lives.
They are:

- Mr. Ali Reza Ranjbar
- Mr. Seyed Ali Alemzadeh
- Mr. Mojtaba Vatanpour Naderani
- Mr. Abolfazl Ajorlou

We fear for the lives of these four individuals given the Islamic Republic�s record of egregious human rights abuses. They will face persecution, torture, and possibly death if returned to Iran.
We urge the UNHCR to intervene appropriately and to stop the deportation process by the Turkish police. Thank you in advance. Your kindness and compassion will be greatly appreciated by the Iranian community.
